Expert Onboarding – How to Create a Profile and Standard Post

Welcome to Ends of Earth

Welcome to Ends of Earth — where Invite-Only Experts define the future of readiness.

This guide walks you through creating your Expert profile and publishing your first Readiness Standard. Whether you specialize in performance, medical response, resilience systems, field operations, or human sustainability, your role is to codify what “good” looks like under disruption.

You are not creating a clinic.
You are establishing a standard.

1. Access Your Expert Dashboard

Once signed in, navigate to your Expert Dashboard — your command center for managing your profile and standards.

You’ll see options such as:

  • Profile
  • Edit Profile
  • Add Standard
  • My Standards
  • Log Out

2. Create or Refine Your Expert Profile

Before publishing a Readiness Standard, complete your profile. Credibility is foundational.

Click Edit Profile and include:

  • Name
  • Professional background
  • Field expertise
  • Operational experience
  • Credentials or affiliations
  • Select media or publications (optional)

Your profile should communicate authority, clarity, and lived experience in disrupted conditions.

Once complete, save changes and return to your dashboard.

3. Publish Your First Readiness Standard

Now it’s time to codify your expertise.

Click Add Standard in your dashboard.

You’ll be directed to a submission form. Complete the following:

Standard Title
Choose a clear, precise title that defines the capability or condition being measured.
Example: Cold-Weather Field Sustainment — Level I
Avoid vague naming. Standards should be specific and measurable.

Operational Context (Location/Environment)
If applicable, define the environment the standard applies to (e.g., alpine, urban disaster, maritime, high-heat, austere medical).

If environment-independent, leave blank.

Discipline / Domain
Select the domain that best classifies the standard (e.g., Strength, Medical, Navigation, Logistics, Cognitive Resilience).

Description
Provide a structured overview including:

  • Purpose of the standard
  • Operational relevance
  • Assumptions and constraints
  • Required prerequisites
  • Measurable performance criteria
  • Pass/fail thresholds or scoring metrics
  • Safety considerations

Clarity matters. A Readiness Standard must be testable, defensible, and repeatable.

Important Distinction

You are not hosting an event.
You are defining performance under disruption.

Standards should answer one question:

What does competent performance look like when conditions degrade?

``The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.``
–Steve Jobs
